Oatmeal - 3 ways
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup rolled or instant oats
3/4 cup water or oat milk
1 banana (ripe)
1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Version 1
1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup crushed walnuts
Version 2
1 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp coconut flakes
Version 3
1 apple (cut in pieces)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp ground flaxseeds
Tip:
Add a bit of maple syrup to your oats if you like them sweeter!
STEPS:
Microwave version
1. In a bowl, mix oats with water (or oat milk) and vanilla or cinnamon.
2. Microwave for 2 minutes.
3. Add banana to bowl and mash everything together. If necessary, add a bit more water or oat milk.
4. Mix berries or apple into oats and sprinkle with nuts, seeds or flakes.
Stove version
1. In a small pot, heat oats with water (or oat milk) and vanilla or cinnamon and bring to a boil.
2. Let simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes. Remove pot from hot stove.
3. Add mashed banana to the pot and mix everything well together. If necessary, add a bit more water (or oat milk).
4. Mix berries or apple into oats and sprinkle with nuts, seeds or flakes.

5-10 min. plus decoration
